Administration Officer

The Opportunity

Save the Children is inviting applications from suitably qualified person to fill the position of Administration Officer.  The position holder will be responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating the Administrative operations of the Country Office. He/She responsible for ensuring and improving the performance and efficiency of Administrative operations through implementation of policy, procedures, the provision of effective service delivery. He/She will help developing support/administrative policy and procedures for Save the Children. He/she assumes responsibility over the general services, Security, Lease agreements, front office operations for the CO Office and all Field Offices in the central and northern region. He/she will also have a delegated responsibility for all CO safety and security.


In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences from a recognized university or professional diploma.

Minimum of 4 years’ experience at officer’s grade level in administrative services or programme support operations with oversight responsibilities.

Experience in NGO an added advantage

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Email and Internet a must

Good communication skills and ability to work with minimum supervision and willingness to work in a team environment

Knowledge of record-keeping and administrative procedures

Understanding of donor regulations an added advantage

Good interpersonal skills
