Job Description

APMC is a profession-based organization of creative artists operating in Malawi, with a vision of growing Malawi’s creative industries through provision of quality creation, production, distribution and promotion services that will enable artists grow their creative enterprises. The company’s shareholding is made up of Arts Associations.  


APMC manages an Automated Music Tracking System and also an online store found on The company further looks to develop various products and services in the field of ICT.  Now APMC invites suitably qualified candidates to fill in the position of a Assistant Information Communication Technology Officer tenable at its head office in Lilongwe.   


  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Provide technical support and advice as required across APMC’s ICT related services
    • Install, repair, maintain and upgrade a wide range of ICT hardware
    • Timely identify and rectify problems relating to malfunctioning of software and


  • Respond to ICT support requests in a timely fashion to ensure minimum disruption to

APMC’s services

  • Install and upgrade both systems and application software as required adhering to all

licensing regulations

  • Maintain an inventory of computer hardware and software (including licences)
  • Provide support for APMC’s information management system and associated software
  • monitor and keep a log of all breakdowns and alterations to APMC’s ICT services
  • Assist in the delivery of quality ICT services to APMC’s clients
  • Provide advice and support in development of innovative ICT products and services


Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of Diploma in Information Technology or its equivalent
  • Experience with Web design technologies (MySQL, PHP, Apache, HTML, CSS, Javascript)
  • Experience with Linux Administration (CentOS/Suse)
  • Experience with virtualization will be an added advantage
