VOLUNTEER PR, SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

As part of a Communications team, Nancholi Youth Organisation (NAYO) is seeking an individual (Volunteer) to assist in media monitoring, general communications work, and shaping our social media presence through Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, and LinkedIn.

Volunteers must be available at least 10 to 20 hours per week for a minimum of four to 6months. This opportunity can be shaped to your interests given the tasks below.

You will:

Assist in the planning, writing, and scheduling of an average of 2 tweets a day and 2 Facebook posts a day.

Embed links and photos in posts and tweets when possible.

Engage with the online community in a respectful way.

Escalate issues and newsworthy tweets and posts as needed.

Create Twitter lists for targeted marketing and communication purposes.

Create Wikipedia pages.

Your skills include:

Organized and detail-oriented.

Uses good judgment and ask questions as needed.

Able to take direction well, but work independently when needed.

Twitter and Facebook friendly.

Excellent at reading and communicating in English

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent

A first university degree in communication, journalism, political science, or international relations or related field from an accredited/recognized institution.
