As the Head of Business Development, Communications and Campaigns, you will build strong donor relationships in country and foster strategic relationships among stakeholders to ensure Plan is a go-to partner in Malawi. You will provide strategic leadership of live bids whilst working with the Programme team to design all new projects and ensure that high quality proposals are delivered by the Country Office (CO) in a timely manner.
In this role you will also oversee and strategically manage the Communications and Campaigns department of the CO. You will aid in increasing and maintaining the visibility of Plan International Malawi by ensuring that our goals are articulated to and understood by key stakeholders such as governments, partners, communities and donors. You will also ensure that Plan International’s flagship #GirlsGetEqual campaign is pitched at the most strategic level in country, particularly within Government and the development partner community, and is embedded within programming and influencing work.
We are looking to recruit a strategic and proactive individual who has at least 10 years of professional experience in the international development sector, of which at least seven years have been spent at a Senior Management level. You will have experience in leading Programme development for a diverse portfolio of donors to drive programmes and you will have a good understanding of the role of the Private sector in development. You will also have good experience in leadership communications and campaigns in support of girls’ rights.
