Job Description

Partners in Hope (PIH) is a Malawian NGO based in Lilongwe. In addition to operating a general clinic, inpatient ward and HIV/AIDS clinic, the program unit provides support to Ministry of Health and CHAM health facilities in eight districts from Chitipa to Nsanje.

Teams are working to meet the 95-95-95 targets for HIV testing, retention in care and viral load suppression through training, mentorship, supervision and health systems strengthening.

Partners in Hope – under the Care and Treatment Grant is seeking to recruit highly motivated individual for the following position:




To oversee the management of computers, electronic equipment and connectivity. The IT Officer will be involved in defining technical specifications for programming, Graphic designing, and ensuring regular maintenance of the equipment. S/he will also help to develop and oversee compliance of ICT and equipment policies.


  • Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related designing concepts.
  • Plans concept by studying information and materials.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials for designing.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies.
  • Building and using computer-assisted software engineering tools to automate some coding
  • Fixing bugs in existing codes
  • Maintain documentation for coding per Partners in Hope standards.
  • Provide testing, documentation, training, and support for third-party software products.
  • Resolve user-submitted problems and questions.


  • Minimum Advanced Diploma in Computer Science.
  • Proficient in C++,Java, HTML and Python
  • Proven graphic designing experience (A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics)
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as the Adobe suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver)
  • At least 3 years work experience with computer programming and graphic designing in busy environment.
