National Consultant – Programme/ Nutrition Web Designer

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Department of Nutrition, HIV and AIDS (DNHA) was established in the year 2004 to spearhead the greater realization of the Government’s Leadership and commitment in the fight against Nutrition disorders, HIV and AIDS. Its overall mandate is to provide visionary guidance and strategic direction for the implementation of the national response to nutrition disorders, HIV and AIDS in the country.
WFP received funding from Irish Aid to support DNHA in re designing and updating its website. The website will be used by stakeholders at local, regional and national level about all DNHA supported priority areas that aligns with the National Multi Sector Nutrition Policy 2018-2022 and its strategic plan. Related documents, case studies and success stories for the wider audience will be highlighted in the website.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES CONT:
Before the final selection of the individual the following will be required for the assignment:
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT
This consultancy is expected to bring a significant contribution through re designing and updating of DNHA website. The following are key deliverables:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in web design and development, graphic design or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in website and or graphic designing, editorial, development and optimization
Knowlegde & Skills: Ability to work with minimal supervision
Have an NTN number
Must be result-oriented, a team player, exhibiting high levels of enthusiasm, tact, diplomacy and integrity
Solid knowledge on web security and website hosting service
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills in interacting with government staff
Skills in facilitating of stakeholder engagements/trainings
Evidence of having undertaken similar assignments
High level written and oral communications skills in English.
OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
Undergo briefing with WFP staff to review the terms of reference 01.09.2020
Meet with DNHA and WFP 02.09.2020
Phase 2- Planning and Content
Circulate draft inception report (IR) and projects implementation plan (IP) for review and comments 15.09.2020
Consolidate comments and share final IR and IP with WFP 18.09.2020
Phase 3- Design
Wireframes (visual diagrams of website) and its review 24.09.2020
Landing page Artwork (inner page(s) artwork and its review 30.09.2020
Review of the design by DNHA and WFP and provide feedback 03.10.2020
Phase 4- Development
Coding, validation, cross-platform and browser testing 09.10.2020
Demo installation and orientation of DNHA staff 15.10.2020
Final review and incorporating comments/inputs for final product 23.10.2020
Phase 5- Launch
Launch the site, monitor it for user feedback and make adjustments accordingly 26-30.10.2020
