Job Purpose

 

To provide specialist Agribusiness knowledge and ensuring the integration,

adoption and application of the PBB Agribusiness sector strategy and related

toolbox(es) that will aggressively grow the client base, revenue and market

share in country (i.e. acquisition through ecosystems).

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities


  • Sales

    • Promote and sell a range of banking product offerings and solutions that meet the financial needs of customer base by leveraging off campaigns, initiating outbound calls to reactivate dormant accounts
    • Acquire and open new business accounts and cross sell additional products and services according to customer needs by identifying and referring sales leads to other business stakeholders including Vehicle & Asset, Finance, Electronic banking, Card, Home loans and others
    • Achieves daily and weekly sales targets, by operating in an effective yet productive manner, through optimal usage of time


    Customer Service

    • Provide simple and convenient information and query handling service offering of customers
    • Contacts potential and existing customers from leads provided to position the product or service offering based on the campaign brief including primary as well as cross-sell mix
    • Handle high volumes, low complexity sales requests and service requests via email and telephony
    • Answer/handle customer inquiries and requests across all mediums accurately and within agreed service times.
    • Provide high quality, first call resolution to accustomedness service needs

    • Interpret business and financial information to prepare and motivate credit applications in line with credit requirements
    • Adhere to quality assurance standards
    • Ensure all legislative requirements are met as it relates to sale of product offerings

Preferred Qualification and Experience

 

  • First Degree, in relevant field of study (Business Commerce
  • Where relevant a degree in Agriculture Economics. An honours degree will be an advantage
  • 5-7 years working experience

 

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

  • Experience Description:
  • Business banking expertise; solid understanding of existing products and processes as it relates to Agribusiness.
  • Experience in managing risk and providing specialist input on cases in distress and general ownership of risk management in an Agric portfolio.
  • Experience in successfully growing the customer base, managing and growing a balance sheet and income statement.
  • Proficient in the design and understanding of data management, analytics and business intelligence.
  • Understands the digital landscape and digitisation strategies that enable an enhanced customer experience for Agribusiness.
  • Experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications is essential for arbitration purposes.
  • Understands debt repayment calculations; Net Present Value (NPV) and capital budgeting method
